The Museum of Sentiments
The Museum of Sentiments
With the Passage of Time, the Experiences Became So Memorable
Hi readers! Today the Author Girl has showed up
once again and that too for sharing something quiet touchy. As time flies by,
things change which even leads to the changing of tastes. From the end of the
previous chapter (2016-17) to the closing of this chapter, so much has
happened. The distinct events and the dynamic life have even carved out a
wondrous museum of sentiments. From here the story starts.
When the Previous Session Ended, and the Next Was Yet To Start
A girl, I was who had just successfully passed
her 6th grade and was looking up to the next level. Just after the
final term examination, I began thinking of the future plans. I spent a great
deal of time in venturing in the Satpura forests through a tremendous poetic
melody. When wandering in my own world of thoughts, I started pouring my heart
on a piece of paper. About the life of a young maiden keen to serve her
society, I wrote.
Then came, another blow of wind embarking the
visit to the maternal family’s place. I did even spent marvellous times of
laughter and indulging into super cool activities. After a week of chortling,
playing pranks, dancing and eating, came the time of departure. In the home, were
paid a heartfelt visit by the most affectionate family members living in places
far. With both of my aunts and both of my uncles, we spent jolly times and
shared the spicy taste of a family pack. Prior to all this, was the result day
of the chapter.
Getting to know about the success of the
previous year, excitement for the contemporary session multiplied further. Then
came the 30th of March which became the start of the most memorable
year of this spectacular school life.
New Class, New Teachers, New Friends and Contemporary Sentiments
Wasn’t so very sure of the
challenges and events, the new class was to bring. Thought of the session as
the same old time spans which had already been experienced. Again, no friend
circle to be called my own and no social interaction with the classmates, I had
thought of. But was indeed proved wrong by the time’s brilliant testimony.
Something, ever unexpected but +ve began to occur. Responsible for bringing
major changes, it was.
Already
glad due to the entry of amazing teachers (Deepika Ma’am, Sheetal Ma’am,
Sharmila Ma’am, Vibhati Ma’am, Preeti.K Ma’am, Neelam Ma’am and Arpita Ma’am)
out of which three had been enlightening our minds previously, I was further
overjoyed by the beautiful relationship which had already begun emerging
between me and three others. These three bright pearls of my life were
literally none other than Ishita Tayal, Disha Sharma and Khushi Gaba. We began
coming so close to each other, that we collectively formed a quadrilateral
which was obvious to never become a triangle once again. One day, greeted by
two new students who had been previously studying in another class, we were.
Gurleen (one of the 2 students) became a really close friend of mine.
While
trying to approach more friends and acclimatising to the distinct environment,
the MUN training session did pay a visit. Who knew that this small training
would bring wonderful fruits and ever existing participations? Was anyone aware
of the flowers which were to bloom following this training? I even got a great
chance of being the Delegate of Sweden, a country about which even 1%, I hadn’t
known. It was really excellent to be a Delegate at UNGA during the round of
selection.
Then,
arrived the long summer breaks.
Opting
For More in the Tremendously Long Vacations
As
the vacations arrived, holidays were the only thing to be discussed all around.
A long vacation of nearly 30 days, we received. Then started the first shift of
the vacations, which was all about the completion of most of the holiday
homework. Listening to the musical wraps composed by Professor A.L.I and
dancing on musical videos dedicated to historical figures were the times of
leisure. While doing so, arrived 3rd
June embarking the arrival of all time fun. The extensive and fun-filled trip
to South-India along with the maternal family had begun.
The
trip involved celebrating the cousin’s birthday, visiting splendid temples like
Tirupati Balaji, Golden Temple of Vellore and the Vellore Fort. The temple tour
was then followed by the visit to the archaeological museum of Vellore. Really,
exhibits dating back to drastically olden times, it had. An absolutely amazing
place for history-lovers it was. All this was followed by my first visit to any
beach. To Pondicherry, we had arrived. Visit to the rock beach was so glamorous.
Rocks all around, scent of salt in the air and huge tides washing the shore
made the scene truly lively. Around, there were beach houses, offices of
Indo-French Corporation and beautiful statues. Next day, a visit was paid to
the La Basilica du Sacre-Coeur church. Indeed, after the first visit to the
beach, I had my first visit to a church. That was overwhelming. The Church even
had The Last Supper painting. After that, we went to the Serenity beach. Urchins
and shells, we collected. Fun lied in clicking pictures while posing with a
fish. Truly enchanting it was to jump in the sea water. Following Pondicherry, there
came Rameshwaram and Madurai, where we visited even more temples. Then came the
hill stations of Ooty and Kodai Kanal. Full of lush greenery and freshness they
were. We did visit the game houses, mountain points, pillar rocks, gardens,
boat houses etc. So clean the air was with no pollution, evident in Delhi. After
this, came the final destination of the tour. None other than Mysore, it was. A
great deal of wildlife species, the Mysore Zoo housed. The Mysore Palace, we
did visit which was followed by the Mysore church and the GRS Fantasy Park.
Wonderful land and water attractions, the park had. Ending the trip, we then
returned to Bengaluru where we had a stay of 10 days.
Then there came the third and the final shift. Completion of the pending holiday homework, making a travelogue of the journey, watching the life version of Beauty and the Beast and visiting the science centre it included. Then as the summer breaks said goodbye, the school re-opened.
Cool, Is the Re-opening of School
After a great deal of fun and awesome experiences, we bade farewell to the vacations. Upon stepping inside the campus, summer vacations were only being talked about. Excitement was in the atmosphere. None was able to hold chatting about the tremendously long vacations and peeping into other's travelogue. My friend circle, did become even more stronger and just like the back of the hands, we got to know each other. By a new student, Anushka we were then greeted. One of the sweeties, she was. Then we did complete the first formative assessments of the chapter.
25th July, one of the most glorious days, then arrived. The day gave us a really wonderful chance of expressing our gratitude towards the nation's gallant defenders, none other than our valiant soldiers. Kargil Vijay Diwas, we celebrated as a tribute towards our heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and security of their country during the war. Really, it was a superb moment to give condolence to the brave-hearts as of remembering those great patriots, an opportunity it was.
On the 12th of August, given the whiz kid awards for 6th grade, we were. I did even deliver a speech on the stage.
Then, finally came the time when the suspense got revealed. Soon, a great harvest of fruits which were borne by the MUN training, we had.
From Devishi Aggarwal to the Delegate of Indonesia
Oh my god! Finally, came the results of the training session. Great pleasure donors, the results were. After knowing of the qualification, I did start jumping with joy. The Delegate of Indonesia at WHO, I became. Following a month of extensive research, came 25th August which was the first day of the grand simulation. Two of my friends, none other than Ishita and Khushi, I got as the conference staff of the same committee. At the start itself, great were the speeches delivered by the fellow Delegates. Most cooperative and the biggest helper, the Executive Board was. Passing chits to the fellow Delegates and the Executive Board, was going throughout. From 25th - 27th of August, the simulation stretched. After obtaining spectacular pieces of knowledge from the Delegates and the EB, came the closing prior to which I had received the Best Position Award.

The Advent of the Half-Yearly Exams and their Arrival
Then, their came the advent of the Half-Yearly exams. During this course of time, we did bit of minor studies so as to reduce the load during the actual exam times. I also wrote a story based on a Queen and her kingdom. The story expresses her life and the way she had found her true love.
To read the story, do visit
Then their arrived the Half-Yearly exams. These great going exams were then followed by the autumn breaks. In the autumn breaks, we celebrated the festival of Dusshera and then went to our friend's place at Rudrapur.
Bye-Bye Autumn Breaks
Then the school re-opened again after the short break. Exam results were revealed. Hurrah! I scored really wonderful marks in my exams. Nearly after a week, we went on with our final term syllabus. One of the greatest rubies did arrive post the autumn breaks. We got our new computer teacher who was none other than Namita Ma'am. Seriously, she was so sweet and just like the previous teacher, she made everyting crystal clear in computers. On 15th of October, I along with a few students of the school went to the India Gate in order to participate in the national event of the 'Swachchh Hawa' Campaign. The next day i.e. 16th October, I turned 12. I was even given beautiful birthday cards by my friends. Meeting all the cousins on that day was the celebration's best part. After the regular studies, came the Rangoli Making competition followed by the Diwali Breaks.
On the day of Diwali, we enjoyed making 3 different Rangolis. 2 of them represented Lord Ganesha and the third one was a bit special. It showcased three military personnel guarding the border for the peace and security of the nation. It was the Patriotic Rangoli.
Times of Creative Group Projects
After the Diwali Breaks, the school life resumed. Me and my friends teamed up as the National Guardians Crew and began making a presentation on the 'Indian Armed Forces'. It was a combined effort and was appreciated by spectators. We included all the facts and information, histories, wars fought, structures and rankings, weapons and a few videos. It was of nearly 67 slides and provided us a chance of enhancing our knowledge about the "Indian Defence Forces."
Then came the "Behas Debate" tournament. I along with 2 others became the part of a debating team. One of the funniest things, no one would know was that the "Young Orators" wasn't an official team ever and all the three members of the team were forced to participate by the teachers. Even then, there was no regret for being forced as it really got me my first medal. I was awarded the bronze medal for the participation. Really, it gave a truly contemporary experience.
Trapped Within Clouds of Gloom and Depression
As this was happening, something strange occurred too. It was like never before but did give a feeling of being under the weather and was sort of unpleasant. Our dear quadrilateral fell into the evil clutches of depression and sorrow. Every time, we used to be working around without a thought of ourselves. Throughout the whole month of November, we had a sentimental crisis which even led to us being physically present somewhere else but mentally elsewhere. This did even fill us with -ve thoughts and left us in a scenario of grief all around. Sleep shortage and a lack of appetite, it brought to us. Health deteriorated and 2 of us fell on the bed. This depression did make us think a billion things. As this happened, life really became a hell. But as each cloud has a silver lining, this sorrow had certain joy hidden behind it. The gleeful times which had been snatched, then returned. The best cure of this virus turned out to be sharing it with teachers who held our hand and aided us to step out of it.
Finally, as we broke free from depression, most of the wounds healed. Days became jovial once again and then came the 2nd Formative Assessments.
The Perfect Winter
Soon entered, the winter breaks. This time really did a lot of healing. Joyous moments, it fetched for us. To our home, came my cousin brother, chachi (aunt) and chachu (uncle). I did even start writing a play, which was the Hindi version of my story. We even had an extremely memorable Christmas celebration. To the school's Christmas carnival, we went.
The day after, a visit we were paid by my dearest bua (aunt) and uncle. Seeing them nearly after an year, was a wonderful delight. Creating a globe from a 3D jigsaw puzzle was a total fun-filled task. I did even get the bigger version of Bram Stoker's Dracula with which I had fallen in love.
Next day, we then parted for Fatehpur Sikri, Agra. After having a long drive, we reached our destination. An awesome resort which was just a few Kilometres away from the splendid monument of Fatehpur Sikri, we stayed at. In this 3 day long trip, we paid a visit to the monument each day. On the Day 2 of the trip, we went to the Keoladeo National Park for bird watching. Truly mind blowing this place was with a bravo collection of birds in it. Diversity of woodland and aquatic birds it housed. From Brahmini Starling to the White Breasted Kingfisher, a great deal of aerials it contained. A huge number of birds like Pearl Spotted Owlet, Jungle Crow, Great Egret, Purple Heron, Whistling Duck, Common Crane, Kingfisher, Anhinga and Grey Heron it had. Also, there was a huge number of deer and oxen present. A beautiful sight for bird-watching it was with a trail stretched to 7 Kilometre.
As we returned home, we continued travelling to the distinct places. In order to celebrate the New Year, we went to the United Coffee House where we had a greatly scrumptious western meal. Amazing was the taste of Chicken Coq au Vin, Fried Chicken, Mongolian Vegetables and Spring Rolls served there. The following day (1st January), we then visited the Sultanpur National park for further bird watching. Other places visited were Crafts Museum, Indian Air Force Museum, National Rail Museum and the National Museum. Have to say, the National Museum was the best destination ever visited. Valuable treasures of ancient times, it housed. Truly a super-duper sight it was.

On the last day of the session, we bade tearful goodbyes to one-another. Soon, I got a new hair-cut. Now, we're just left with the hopes of being together as this lovely quadrilateral in the coming chapter too. May we find new friends and keep the old. Plus, may we get to learn contemporary things and fall in love with studies. Just one desire I have, which is that may the upcoming session be fruitful to us all and may the result day be mind-pleasing. May these sentiments stay immortal forever. Once again, thanks to all the people whom I met in this session, as each one of them made every single day special for me.
Bidding Farewell to the Session
Then came the time of saying good-bye to the session as now the last few months were going on. Of recalling the old memories and preparing for the final exams, this was a time. Great were the moments and all had their unique charm. Already the students of grade 12 had bidden farewell to their school and juniors. An example for us to follow, they had set and they even inspired us greatly. I did continue writing my own play and published a few more blogs. Me and my friends began gathering with a few other close friends and of spending the final jovial times with our mentors, we thought. On the 26th of Jan, we did go to the India Gate for watching the Republic Day Parade. Although, we did miss the chance of witnessing such a mind-blowing and patriotic event attended by the ASEAN leaders, the day was yet excellently good. I along with my family also went to our friend's house whom we had met after 6 years. Still, I remember presenting my exhibit "The Organic Power Battery" in the school's science exhibition. By talking to each other and enjoying the last few days of being in Grade 7th-C, we said goodbye to our class. Finally, the studies got completed and came the final exams. Holi, the festival of colours was spent in a super joyful way and brought glee to us all. During the course of the final exams, I even completed my play.
